The power to tell our stories.

Sacred Blue Studios is a Toronto software development studio focused on creative AI development. We build apps, websites, cloud and AI for the moments that bring people closer: a child's day read back in a new language, friends arguing over a box score, a family band in the kitchen, a grandmother's stories kept in her own voice.

01 · Four stories

What we make, and who it's for.

We are a software studio, and the apps we build share one idea: technology should bring people closer. Follow them like a life: a child learning a language, friends on game night, a family making music, an elder telling the stories of a lifetime. We use AI to help kids learn, to make being a fan more fun and to preserve memories, and we leave it out where it does not help. AI is the tool. People are the point.

  1. Language

    ParlerAI for learning

A child tells Parler about her day, and AI helps turn it into an illustrated book in the language she is learning, read aloud as every word lights up.

  2. Sports

    JokerzAI for fans

Friends call their hand before tip-off, and the real box score deals the cards. AI helps draw the characters and voice the animated podcast hosts, so being a fan is more fun.

  3. Music

    PanjoMusic for everyone

Half steel pan, half piano. Every note has its own colour, so the youngest and the oldest in the family can learn the same song and play it together.

  4. Memories

    WaterfallAI for memories

Every day brings a new question, and AI gently guides the conversation. Grandma answers in her own words, and her story is kept in her voice for the grandchildren who will ask about it years from now.

02 · The apps we build

Six apps of our own.

We design, build and run them in our Toronto studio, and they share one aim: give people a reason to spend time together.

  • Parler

    Language

Helps kids learn a language through their own lives.

  • Jokerz

    Sports

Free daily fantasy basketball, where the real box score deals the cards.

  • Panjo

    Music

A brand-new instrument that fits in your hand: half steel pan, half piano.

  • Waterfall

    Memories

Keeps the stories of a lifetime in the storyteller's own voice.

  • Elly

    Learning

Turns any topic into a trivia game, with fresh questions written by AI.

  • BirdsEye

    Events

Puts every TV in the room to work, all run from one phone.

03 · What we do

Apps, websites, cloud and AI. One studio, start to finish.

We are a software development shop that pairs creative direction with engineering. The same people design it, build it, host it and keep it running, for the apps we build and for a few client projects at a time.

Four pairs of hands at a studio workbench craft a paper phone, a website layout, a paper cloud and a glowing lantern.
  • Web and mobile app development

iOS, Android and web apps, from the first sketch to the App Store and Google Play. We build with React, React Native, Expo and Next.js, and add sign in, subscriptions and payments with Stripe and RevenueCat when a product needs them.

  • Website design and development

Fast, accessible marketing and product websites that tell your story with words, illustration and motion, built so search engines and AI assistants can read, understand and cite them.

  • Cloud computing and infrastructure

Google Cloud, Firebase and AWS, set up with serverless functions, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring and backups, so a product stays fast and reliable and its costs stay understood.

  • AI development and assistants

Creative AI that serves people: assistants, voice and speech, search over your own content, generation, and agents that take a request, do the work and report back. Designed around what models do well, with guardrails and people reviewing what matters.

04 · Clients and partners

Who we build with.

Beyond our own apps, we design, build and run software for a few organizations at a time, from a proposal platform for Canadian creatives to a retreat and its guest apps.

05 · Our approach

Creative, technical and human.

Creative AI development means fusing the creative side and the technical side, with people at the centre. We use AI as a tool to enrich our lives and bring us closer together. Not to make slop, but to make things that are meaningful for families and for people.

  1. Start with a moment, not a model.

Every product begins with a real moment between people: a child's story about her day, a game night with friends, a song in the kitchen, a grandparent's memory. The technology comes second.

  2. Creative and technical, one team.

Story, design, code and cloud come from the same hands, so nothing gets lost between a sketch and the App Store.

  3. AI as a tool, not a shortcut.

We use AI where it makes life richer and leave it out where it does not. No filler, no slop.

  4. People stay in charge.

Parents approve every look Parler draws. Storytellers decide who hears each Waterfall story. A person reviews every Jokerz episode before it goes out.

Sacred Blue Studios is a Toronto software development studio focused on creative AI development. It builds web and mobile apps, websites, cloud infrastructure and AI for a small number of clients, and it builds four apps for kids, fans and families: Parler for language, Jokerz for sports, Panjo for music and Waterfall for memories. Its guiding idea is that technology should bring people closer together.

At Sacred Blue Studios, creative AI development means fusing the creative side and the technical side, with people at the centre. Storytelling, design and engineering happen in one team, and AI is a tool to enrich lives and bring people closer, never a shortcut to filler content. The goal is to make things that are meaningful for families and for people, not AI slop.

Sacred Blue Studios builds four apps. Parler (parler123.app) turns a child's own story into an illustrated book in the language they are learning and reads it with them, word by word. Jokerz (playjokerz.com) is free daily fantasy basketball where the real box score deals the cards. Panjo (panjo.app) is a new instrument, half steel pan and half piano, free on iPhone, iPad and Android. Waterfall (waterfallwisdom.com) keeps the stories of a lifetime in the storyteller's own voice.

Sacred Blue Studios uses AI where it helps people. In Parler, AI helps a child learn a language by writing down their story, drawing it, translating it and reading it aloud. In Jokerz, it helps illustrate the characters and voice the animated podcast hosts, and a person reviews every episode. In Waterfall, it guides the conversation, transcribes each story and helps the family find it again. In Panjo, it illustrates some of the artwork, and the music is played by people.

Sacred Blue Studios starts every feature from a real moment between people and asks whether AI improves it. If it does not, AI is left out. Where AI is used, people stay in charge: parents approve every cartoon look in Parler, a person reviews every Jokerz episode before it goes out, and Waterfall keeps each story in the storyteller's own words.

Sacred Blue Studios designs each app for the people who use it. Parler draws stories only with cartoon characters a parent has approved, shows no ads and never uses family data to train AI. Panjo has no ads and no tracking, and a grown-up decides what to buy. Waterfall keeps every story private until the storyteller shares it. Jokerz is made for basketball fans 13 and over.

Yes. Sacred Blue Studios takes on a small number of client projects at a time: web and mobile apps, websites, cloud infrastructure and AI features such as assistants, voice and search over an organization's own content. The same people handle design, engineering and hosting, from the first sketch to launch and beyond. To start a conversation, email info@sacredbluestudios.com.
